01. Last good book you've read?
Verity by Colleen Hoover. I love the way Colleen keeps you guessing until the very last page!
02. Favorite place to take out-of-town visitors?
Katy Trail Ice House. It's an outdoor patio filled with picnic tables, cold beer and Texas country music! My family and I have a tradition of going there on Thanksgiving Day to get a break from cooking and cleaning. If any of my customers want a recommendation, I always send them to the Ice House to really get a feel for Dallas!
03. Meal you're most proud of cooking?
Honestly - any meal that requires more than a few ingredients! I used to never cook and only did it out of necessity. Now, I cook for me and my fiancé almost every night. I put on a podcast, pull out a cookbook and use the time to unwind from the day. It's become one of my favorite routines!
04. Favorite no-frills self care ritual?
Depending on the day, it's a long walk, a shower and a face mask, or a strong margarita.
05. Who/what inspired you in the last 24 hours?
I'm a part of a small group of six women entrepreneurs who meet every two weeks to talk about our goals, struggles, wins, all of it! Every time we meet, I'm inspired by their encouragement, creativity and strength. On the days we meet (like today, for instance), I find myself a little more motivated than the day before.
All Good Things was founded by Oklahoma native Kristen Miller. Kristen discovered her love for paper and gift-giving while working retail during her college years at the University of Oklahoma (boomer!). After graduation, she moved to Dallas and entered the corporate world.
After years of dreaming of opening her own shop, she decided one night she couldn't wait any longer and opened the doors to All Good Things in July of 2017.
